Our Privacy Commitment to Exporters
Ports.biz (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates an export market intelligence and trade compliance platform designed for manufacturers, exporters, and MSMEs. We treat your product formulations, photographs, and trade specifications with strict confidentiality. We never sell your personal or business data, and we only collect what is strictly necessary to deliver export intelligence reports, Harmonized System (HS) classifications, and tariff calculations.

We do not store your Google account password.
- Product Details & Export Submissions: Information you submit to run an export analysis, including textual product descriptions, manufacturing location, production capacity, target export markets, business categories, and export readiness goals.
- Uploaded Product Imagery: Images or documents you upload to assist in automated physical product identification and HS classification.
- Technical & Log Data: Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, device characteristics, operating system, referring URLs, timestamps, and interaction logs collected automatically for system security and diagnostic health monitoring.
2. Google Sign-In and Firebase Authentication
Ports.biz utilizes Google Identity Services and Firebase Authentication (provided by Google LLC) to manage secure user identity and access control:
- When you click “Continue with Google”, Google authenticates your identity and provides Ports.biz with a secure JSON Web Token (JWT) containing your verified email address and name.
- We use this information solely to create and authenticate your account, maintain your saved export analyses, and secure your session across devices.
- Our application complies strictly with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
3. AI-Assisted Processing and Third-Party Technology
To compute export readiness metrics and identify tariff classifications, Ports.biz processes submitted product information through specialized computational models and third-party APIs:
- NVIDIA NIM & Vision Inference: Uploaded product photos are analyzed using vision models to detect physical form factor, apparent materials (e.g. textile, metal, wood, organic), and functional attributes needed for accurate 6-digit and 8-digit HS code matching.
- Sarvam AI: Natural language processing models are employed to synthesize authoritative executive summaries, regulatory roadmaps, and non-sensitive export intelligence overviews.
- Global Customs Trade Datasets: Analyzed outputs are mapped against authoritative trade data derived from official UN Comtrade and CEPII BACI harmonized customs flow databases.
- No Public Model Training: Your uploaded images and proprietary product specifications are processed transiently via secure API endpoints and are not used to train public generative AI foundation models.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for specific, legitimate operational purposes:
- To generate customized export intelligence reports, customs checklists, duty estimations, and destination market recommendations.
- To store and link your generated analysis history to your account so you can view, resume, or export reports (PDF/DOCX) at any time.
